My only dream for this trip is to go to the 2008 July Grand Tournament for Sumo. - Helsinki: Mon. 7/21 through Thurs. 7/24
I don't know much about Helsinki, but we are staying in a converted prison near the center of the city. - Berlin/Germany: Thurs. 7/24 through ??8/1??
We don't have definitive plans, but it looks like we will be staying in Berlin for 2 nights when we get there and then meeting up with Shelly in Stuttgart for some wine drinking fun - Brussels: 8/1 through 10/1 - we have a 1 BR flat organized for these two months. rest. relaxation. seeing some friends (Frank Eye-d! and Jeff Wiant) and maybe hosting some others.
I don't think I need to say this, but we both can't sit still.

Great photos... Sounds like only the tip of the iceberg compared to all the ones taken. I have some suggestions about Helsinki evn though you are really about a 10 hour huge ferry ride http://www.tallinksilja.com/en/ to my islands, Mariehamn, Aland. I would suggest Suomenlinna, Google Earth has a road that goes to it but it seems fishy, my guess is that best is a ferry ride is the only ticket. I would highly suggest getting lost in the small towns West of Helsinki or head up to the lake district. My exposure to the big cities is limited but depending onr your goals, there is a road trip to Lahti (north), Turku (West) or the archiplago in between, or a ferry ride to Tallinn in Estonia. Hope this helps somewhat. Drinking coffee, spending time at the summer house and time in the sauna or the baltic is what my people do.
